AtlantaWebServers Dedicated Server and Colocation Optimized Network
For primary core backbone routing we use multiple Cisco edge and core routers. For aggregation and customer distribution layers we use redundant Cisco routers with advanced switching technology. Each core router includes redundant supervisor engines for additional fail-over protection
In addition to Cisco routing we provide route optimization using the InterNap FCP Flow Control. The FCP proactively reviews our network(s) for the best performing path and routes. Based on its unique capability to measure the characteristics of end-to-end, real-time Internet traffic, the FCP solution improves traditional BGP network performance up to 50%. Simply put, better performance for your services.
Normal BGP routing simply looks at how many hops until the target, AtlantaWebServers uses a InterNap Flow Control Platform™ that actually traces back to the originating websurfers 1,000s of times per minute identifying any problematic area then sorting the routes based on many different factors such as speed, packetloss, and amount of hops. Then it intelligently re-routes your connection in real time to insure you stay on the fastest possible route and network routing optimization.
In addition to our public network AtlantaWebServers provides all of its Atlanta dedicated server and colocation clients with a free Gigabit private backend network that allows for true secure out-of-band management via VPN through a distinct stand-alone third carrier over our SSL, PPTP, or IPSEC VPN gateway. Each client will receive a private /24 or larger IP assignment to use to move data from server to server or to upload or download data without affecting traffic or speed over the public network. In addition to client server to server access the private network provides access to our private NAS/Backup system. This allows for secure backup of client data with no internal bandwidth costs, nor interference with public traffic.
We run a state-of-the-art network with multiple 10 gig, 1 gig and DS3s multi-homed bandwidth from 55 Marietta Street, 56 Marietta Street and 260 Williams Street in Atlanta, three of the richest Fiber interconnect networks in the United States and can cross-connect to anyone in these building. Additionally, anyone on Fiber can connect here; we are a lit building for AT&T, Verizon and other direct backbone providers. AtlantaWebServers has the ability to get you directly connected to over 60 backbone fiber providers including the following bandwidth providers listed here:
